2024 Tdiclub forum - Dec 24, 2019 · Hello All, First post here on the TDIclub forum. We recently purchased a 2013 Passat TDI SEL Premium w/68K miles from a local VW Dealer. Clean carefax, all relevant maintenance performed before the buyback. Emissions fix was perform 10/2019 by said dealer and brake rotors/pads, tires, battery, fuel filter were replaced and oil change performed.

ANYTIME the AC is on, both fans should be on. The fans are not increasing your time to warm the engine. The thermostat keeps the coolant from going to the radiator. Diesels warm slowly. The apparent cause was a loose clean air line from the N75 valve to the air filter box. It was secure on the air box side but ready to fall off the fitting on the N75 side. The regen is happening often because the cycle keeps getting interupted (car is shut off before the regen completes or your at the in-town point of your commute) Thats normal and will change when your out on the highway and the regen starts and completes. As the engine speeds up, more vacuum is generated and the EGR closes. Likely, your mechanic manually applied vacuum to the EGR and checked to see if it would close. Your problem may be that the valve has worn out and cannot close, as this is a fairly common.Load up Torque, go to settings > Manage Extra PIDs/Sensors > menu > Add Predefined set > choose "VW". The boost guage is defaulted to reporting absolute manifold pressure (boost + barometric). As the turbo vane position sensor seems to have more input [ control ] on the running boost pressure then the MAP sensor does. Without the turbo vane position sensor connected [ working ] actual MAP was always running about 10 PSI at cruse. This while requested MAP might be say 6 PSI.. Tdiclub forum

Emissions fix was perform 10/2019 by said dealer and brake rotors/pads, tires, battery, fuel filter were replaced and oil change performed. Remove the solenoid and then Remove the planetary gears. I replaced the drive, which is a HUGE pain. The drive is normally good still on these starters. You can tell though by turning the drive by hand while holding the planetary gears still. It should go smoothly one direction, and then not turn the other direction.2. Put torque plate and converter back on with auto trans long enough to verify timing is correct and lock down cam and crank, then replace everything with the eurospec flywheel and 5 speed trans. and of and of course mark the timing mark on the flywheel alot of work but I want to be right.TDI. 2014 Passat TDI SEL Prem.
